Civic Guide
A simple path for turning a concern into a searchable public-records thread: name the issue, find the public body, search the sources, ask for the missing record, and share what can safely be shared.
Start with one thing: a name, address, company, fund, meeting, payment, permit, or public body. Search it first. If the answer is visible, save the source. If the answer is missing, the missing record becomes the next request.
A useful civic thread usually has five parts: the concern, the public body, the decision or payment, the record that supports it, and the next question. Keep each part separate so the story does not outrun the source.
Public records can include names, emails, meeting packets, contracts, invoices, budgets, staff reports, logs, and official correspondence. Do not upload Social Security numbers, bank numbers, medical records, private resident records, illegal recordings, or documents you are not allowed to share.
The goal is participation without overwhelm. Search, save, draft, review, and send. That is enough to begin.
